Checking the validity of an A1 certificate

An employer that posts a worker to another Member State or to Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland or Norway is required to obtain an A1 certificate from the HIIS. This enables the worker to demonstrate, in the country to which they have been posted, that for the period of posting they are included in the Slovenian social security scheme.

You can check here whether your certificate is valid.

Enter the certificate number and your personal identification number, then click the Check button.

If a certificate with those numbers exists, it will show you the main relevant information carried by the certificate. Check whether that information matches the information on your certificate. If the information does not match, the certificate is not valid.

(The certificate number is written at the top of the first page of the A1 certificate)
Številka potrdila
(The personal identification number is written in section 1.1 of the A1 certificate)
Osebna identifikacijska številka

If a QR code is printed on the last page of your certificate, you may obtain the same information by scanning the code on your mobile device. This will take you to the website, where you will be shown the main relevant information carried by the certificate.
